If you do, consider taking it to the stage at TEDxGeorgiaCollege.

We want to hear from you!

TEDxGeorgiaCollege Ignite provides middle and high school students with the opportunity to be part of TEDxGeorgiaCollege and to have special access to a unique learning environment. The Ignite experience offers young voices a dedicated platform to share their ideas alongside our main program. Student speakers will work with teachers and coaches and present their Ignite Talks on a focused stage, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to our community conversation about what it means to spark change.

If you're a middle or high school student with a spark of an idea that could change how we think, we want to hear from you. TEDxGeorgiaCollege Ignite gives young voices the stage to share powerful ideas that matter.

How does our theme inspire you?

Spark

Within Georgia College pulses the transformative power of a spark. That initial flash—brief yet brilliant—can ignite possibilities and illuminate new ways of thinking. A spark can leap from a revolutionary idea or smolder quietly before kindling personal transformation. When minds connect in our community, electric currents of conversation challenge assumptions, disrupting comfortable patterns and generating unexpected innovation. We spark curiosity, fan the flames of creativity, and tend to the embers of nascent ideas until they blaze into purposeful action. Join us for TEDxGeorgia College as we spark imagination, spark change, and spark ideas that reach far beyond our community.

How will your idea spark change in your school, community, or beyond?

Submit Your Idea

TEDxGeorgiaCollege Ignite is designed specifically for middle and high school students who want to share ideas that matter. In the spirit of TED's mission to spread "ideas worth spreading," Ignite Talks give young thinkers a platform to challenge assumptions, share discoveries, and inspire action.

Ignite Talks are 6-8 minutes long and focus on one powerful idea that connects to our theme of "Spark."

What We’re Looking For

  • Tell us your idea quickly and compellingly. What's the one thing you want your audience to remember? Make sure anyone could repeat your main idea in just a sentence or two.

  • You don't need to be an expert, but you should care deeply about your idea. Share what you've learned, experienced, or discovered. Make complex ideas simple and help us understand why this matters to you.

  • Remember, your audience includes other students, teachers, parents, and community members. Help us understand not just what your idea is, but why it matters to all of us.

  • No commercial promotion, political campaigning, or inflammatory content. Focus on ideas, not products or partisan positions.

  • Why does this idea need to be heard at this moment?

  • What experiences, insights, or perspectives make you the right person to share this idea?
